Healing with the Light of the Heart

Hello dearest ones, I speak to you now from the cusp, as we move our bodies and our hearts toward the culmination of light that is the Summer Solstice.

These long days of light are an antidote to the shadow and dark we have felt these many months of the past year.

There are things opening, in us and around us....

We are all at different stages in our grief...

                    and our elation.

We have been through the sticky webs of trauma in a world turned upside down, we still feel and see the heartbreak and frustration that weaves through our world, this planet, this Earth.

We have all had a myriad of experiences....some of us are tired and confused and some of us have had uplifting, and revelatory experiences. 

And everything in between. 

All are valid and real and you deserve to be exactly where you are at in this moment.

It's okay.

In honor of you, of all of us as the light increases temporally and internally....

I offer quiet to you in the form of a short daily practice.

If your heart is longing, loving, grieving, building, trying, releasing, holding....this is for you...

If you are feeling lost, uncertain, stressed, tired...this is for you...

If you are feeling light, joyful and hopeful...this is for you...

If you are human, this is for you....

• Everyday, rain or shine, place your hands over your heart center and close your eyes.
• Bring to mind a time in your life when you felt loved, deeply loved, by human, animal or nature.
• Let that feeling grow within you.
• Then, breathe in and count to 5. Smooth your breath.
• Breathe out to a count of 5. Even, quiet and cool.
• Repeat 5 times in a row (or as long as feels nourishing.
• Open your eyes and notice any shifts.
• Repeat as needed.

The electromagnetic field of the heart extends out 3-4 feet in every direction (imagine this like the rays of the sun). When we are around others, our heart fields overlap. Imagine that!

This simple practice helps to soothe and calm many of life's stressors.

It also helps to attune your inner systems, so they work more smoothly with one another (breathing, heart rate etc).

It is an especially potent time to attune our hearts to the swelling and brilliant light of the Solstice.
