It's August, in the year 2021.Let that sink in....Okay, I know we all know that! The point is, you are here and you are breathing and that is a good thing. The future is upon us.
The world feels like it is accelerating...the chaos, the pace, the danger, weather, fire, disease.....
And we humans, a part of the dance of it all.
Sometimes, it is hard to see what is truly in front of us in our lives.
So many of us are living in the future or past. The Pandemic has exposed our deepest worries, wounds, struggles...our very survival. This is real.
Some nights it is hard to sleep because of everything that is going on. Do you feel this way, too?
It can be unsettling, and yet the seasons and cycles of life go on. The Chicory plants bloom and fade...then the Curly Cup Gum weed has its turn...
Zucchinis overgrow in the garden. The finches build nests, hatch fledglings and eventually, they fly away.
Can you be in the natural flow and order of things?
Can you make the most of the opportunities that are before you?
Sometimes, they come in a guise that is hard to recognize. Sometimes, "opportunities", come in, in a way that doesn't feel so great. It is only upon reflection that we can see where they have asked us to grow.
It is only from a distance, with awareness and contemplation, with wisdom that we can sharpen our understanding.
So, tenderly I ask you, what gives your life meaning? What simple joys are available to you right now?
Take a moment, contemplate.
I wonder if you are able to make time for the things you enjoy, no matter your life circumstance or have you lost trust in the flow of all that life has to offer?
It's okay, it is never too late to get back on track. Reconnect to your spirit, vow to love more, open to the full expression of who you are. Learn something new. Release that old baggage. Choose to see with new eyes and an empowered spirit.
Get a cup or glass right now, take it to your favorite stream or lake, or simply to your kitchen sink.
Fill it with water and let it overflow.
Chant the following..."This is my life, my cup overflows, this is my life, this is my life, my cup overflows".
Then, drink that water, hunny!
Metaphorically, of course.
Splash your brow, your heart, your wrists and the back of your neck.
Saturate your being with the magic, patiently awaiting you.
